Why have the ' you knows' got double barreled surnames?

When I was a lad only posh people had them.

English football is in a right old mess.
Nothing ever seems to change. The coaching is appalling at the lower levels.

Now that Jenkinson is flying back,we can get his loan from Arsenal sorted quickly(or otherwise).

I see they succumbed to the same failings of the senior side.

We run around a lot, but play the same predictable way, what has Southgate been doing, studying the Sam Allardyce way of playing?

Not only was defensive play poor by England...also with slow Midfield buildup...BUT...

With better finishing could have won...17 attempts 4 on target...1 goal

Italy...11 attempts...4 on target...3 goals...

Si ralf, the trouble is that until the FA truly acknowledge we've got a problem they won't attempt to address it.

We have the richest league in the world, the bigger number of rich list clubs, the largest number of full time professional clubs in the world yet we have far fewer qualified coaches in comparison with the leading European countries.

Is it any wonder that we cannot churn out successful young players like the continentals do.

Yet another root and branch investigation into the game?

Simple fact is that we have a spoilt bunch of very average players which sky tell us world class. Clearly, where it counts, England at every level are not good enough. Lots of reasons, one being that kids are wrapped in cotton wool by their clubs and senior players believe the hype. The likes of Rooney lampard becks gerrad etc.., all get found out at tournaments. Absolute pile of shit.

Thanks sky.

Spot on Sir Alf! (Unfortunately)

No surprise. We are the definition of insanity. We keep doing the same thing and failing every time.

We place power and pace above the basic techniques such as ball control, accurate passing and ability to keep the ball. We are still technically inferior but to make matters worse we employ players as managers who were themselves technically wanting and part of the English obsession with formations.

Nothing changes.

Chalobah must have a hypnotist as his agent to be a 1st XI player at international level. Reminds me of the bang average David Prutton who David Platt played to death in the U21s.

Chalobah and Forster Caskey were both starters and awful at Toulon tournament last year. Poyet had just won player of the year at Charlton but couldn't get in the squad and defected to Uruguay soon after.

Will Hughes and Ward-Prowse all day

How Chalobah and Tom Carroll both played more minutes than Ward-Prowse and Loftus-Cheek is beyond.

When will we appoint someone with clue to mange the under 21s? Pearce and Southgate fuck me

Ings looks like a championship player to me, seen him a few times and he really does not look that great when he plays against better players. Chalobah was fucking dreadful, plays for a bottom on the division Championship side says it all, same with Forster-Caskey. How the hell does Ward-Prowse not get a game in front of them to is scandalous. But hey with Southgate as boss what else can you expect.

I think we can safely say English football management is in a state of deep crisis.
